Litle HMF is a multicomponent human milk fortifier added to expressed breast milk for preterm and very low birth weight infants. It raises nutrient density while keeping the protective benefits of mother’s milk. Use only under medical supervision.

Indications:

• Preterm infants (<37 weeks)
• Very Low Birth Weight infants (<1500 g)
• Small for Gestational Age infants
• Infants on fluid restriction needing high nutrient density

Ingredients: Partially hydrolysed whey protein (0.4 g per 1 g sachet), Calcium and phosphorus in clinical ratio, Iron, Vitamins and minerals aligned with ESPGHAN guidance

Calorific Distribution:

• 4 kcal per 1 g sachet
• Standard feed (25 mL EBM + 1 sachet): ~20 kcal
• ~0.6 g protein per 25 mL fortified feed
• ~20 mg calcium and 0.4 mg iron per 25 mL feed

The direction of use: 

• Add 1 sachet (1 g) to 25 mL lukewarm (<40°C) expressed breast milk
• Start at half-strength, then move to full strength as tolerated
• For enteral (oral/tube) feeding only
• Use immediately or refrigerate as per hospital protocol (max 24 hours)
• Not for infants with galactosemia or specific metabolic disorders
